Yoga is a science of self responsibility.

Mine is a walkabout story of owning up, complete surrender, and falling in step with the guides who miraculously lit my path.

I am never one to shy away from telling the details of how Yoga transformed my life — it shows up as lived experience in my teaching.

Much more interesting than the stats… here are some random facts that have made me the Yoga teacher I am today.

  • I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up. I even went to NASA Space Camp.

  • In middle school I had 2 GUESS® outfits and wore them every other day.

  • My undergraduate degree was in studio arts with an emphasis on sculpture.

  • In High School I worked at Camp Easter Seals and then a nursing home. I loved both so much!

  • I almost dove head first into Yoga in 1988, then 1995, then, 2006.

  • My family knows that the go-to gift to buy me is wool socks.

  • I have been sober since October 2022.

  • The first question I ever asked my Yoga teacher was about the word jñāna.

Megan Twining Yoga

“Megan’s Breathe class has become my favorite way to recenter, destress, and reconnect with myself. These sessions consistently bring me a night of deep, restful sleep. I hope to carry this practice into my daily routine. 10 out of 10 every time.”
