Yoga for Communication? YES!
The foundation of Yoga is clear, concise, compassionate communication. Much more than written or spoken word; communication is listening, reading, our thoughts, ideas, and intentions. “Do no harm” is the foundation of Yoga; yet in this fast-paced modern society, it is widely accepted that systems rely on fear or FOMO to influence us in every way… from how we spend our time and our money, to how we interact with ourselves and each other. Yoga is a system of reclaiming responsibility for how we show up and let good loose in the world.
How does Yoga help?
It is a holistic approach to observe and experience your whole self in ways that make you feel settled and confident in your ability to maintain patience and presence. It’s possible for kindness to be consistent; and listening to be generous.

Individuals work with Megan in a series of private sessions to discuss stumbling blocks & suffering with the aim to experience greater ease in communication and a calm mindset.
Groups of any size are introduced to the philosophies of Yoga & Ayurveda. The most popular workshop because of the new (actually ancient) vantage point of how to understand, accept, and work together. Not only fun, but can truly change group dynamics!

Just a little.
These sessions are mostly discussion based.
We begin with some easy movement that is appropriate for those present. Usually 5 - 10 minutes of gentle stretching for the back, neck, and hips and then we will begin discussion. You can also expect time spent in mindfulness and breathing practices that are designed for all levels.

Comfy and Casual is best.
Often participants like to dress very casually and comfy. However, there should be no barriers for us to jump into a communication mentoring session or workshop. If you are coming from work, or if this is a workplace wellness event, please join me as you are. We will tailor the session accordingly. There is no need for leggings or sportswear.

A yoga mat or rug and meditation cushion are optional .
If you own these bits of gear, please feel free to have them with you. Part of our work is establishing routines that help you stay close to the work of gentle communication. Having dedicated supports is helpful.
I will be assigning you ‘homework’ so that you can you can continue to learn from your own practice.

For individual sessions we can meet virtually on Zoom or if you are local to Southern Maryland we can meet at my Yoga Studio: SONDER.
Group workshops usually take place during Yoga Retreats or Wellness Seminars at Sonder or at off-site locations. The events page lists upcoming opportunities. Yes, I’d also be happy to travel to your destination :)

Time is important.
For individuals a series of 8 sessions is required. The first appointment is 2 hours and follow on appointments are 1 hour.
Cost: $899
For groups - timing varies. The minimum workshop is 3 hours, but we can go much deeper into this topic during full or multiple day retreats.
